Event Manager
Job description
Position: Event Manager
Contract: Full time/Perm
Location: London/Hybrid
Salary: £57/£60k
The Opportunity
The company is launching an exciting new event within the hospitality sector. This is a high-potential launch show, already gaining significant traction across the market, with strong backing from both industry leaders and government stakeholders.
With circa 2,000 delegates already confirmed, the event is exceptionally well positioned from day one and offers an outstanding platform for long-term commercial growth.
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Event Manager to join at the early stages of a show with clear momentum, significant market demand, and strong scalability within a $50bn+ global sector.
The Role
This is a true Event Manager position with full ownership and P&L responsibility. The successful candidate will take the lead on shaping the event strategy, building commercial performance, and delivering the long-term growth plan.
Due to the infancy of the show, the role will initially require a strong commercial focus. You will manage two Sales Executives and will also carry your own personal revenue target during the first year(s) of launch.
As the show scales, the intention is for a dedicated Commercial Manager to be introduced, allowing the Event Manager to focus more heavily on strategic development and event growth.
The business operates with centralised and highly capable marketing and operations functions, providing excellent support and allowing the Event Manager to focus on driving the event forward.
