Position: Founding Engineer / Technical Lead (CTO-Track)
Location: SW London / Remote
Salary: £50,000 + Significant Equity Upside
Contract: Full-Time

In a corporate setting, this level of exposure and autonomy would typically require a CTO title. But here, we’re looking for the best emerging talent, someone with the skills and hunger to lead technology from the ground up, and the ambition to grow into a true technical co-founder.

�� What We’re Building
We’re creating a smart matchmaking engine that helps companies, investors, and innovators connect without endless searching. The product is designed for scale powering white-label ecosystems, SaaS tools, and deep integrations across industries.

We’ve launched our MVP, validated market traction, and now we’re looking for someone to take the technical lead as we grow into a scalable, product-led business.

�� What You’ll Own
As our Technical Lead, you’ll be responsible for everything from system architecture to AI matching logic to full-stack development. You’ll collaborate directly with the founder, drive product evolution, and help build a world-class user experience.

Your scope includes:

  • Refining and scaling the AI-based matchmaking algorithm (e.g. compatibility scoring, filtering logic)

  • Leading front-end and back-end development of new features

  • Building mobile-ready or PWA versions of the product

  • Integrating third-party data (e.g. Crunchbase, LinkedIn, Floww)

  • Enhancing onboarding, engagement, and subscription flows

  • Shaping infrastructure for white-labelled, multi-tenant offerings

  • Ensuring security, performance, and compliance from day one

�� Our Stack

  • React / Next.js

  • Node.js

  • Cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP)

  • Modular AI components (recommender systems, NLP)

  • SaaS architecture with early freemium and role-based access controls

You’ll be taking over from an MVP built by a development agency and iterating quickly from there.

�� Who You Are

  • A full-stack engineer with experience building and scaling B2B SaaS platforms

  • Someone who thrives in high-autonomy, high-responsibility environments

  • Excited by AI, data-driven systems, and building products that serve entire industries

  • Entrepreneurial mindset: You want to build, own, and grow, not just execute tickets

  • Comfortable across both architecture decisions and getting your hands dirty in code

Preferred (but not required):

  • Experience with AI/ML (especially recommender systems or NLP)

  • Background in mobile or PWA development

  • Familiarity with SaaS billing, user tiering, and white-labelling
