Company and Role:

Our client is a well-established boutique IP firm, seeking to a part-qualified or newly qualified patent attorney to join their growing team.
Technical backgrounds of interest include Physics, Mechanical and/or Electrical
  
Key Tasks:
  • Drafting and prosecuting patent applications, demonstrating increasing autonomy and expertise.
  • Conducting complex patent searches, freedom-to-operate analyses, and infringement assessments.
  • Providing clear and strategic advice to clients on a range of patent-related matters.
  • Managing client portfolios and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services.
  • Supporting with tender applications, contributing to business development initiatives
The successful candidate will have:
  • Demonstrable experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications.
  • A strong academic background, with a first-class or upper second-class honours degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science.
  • A proven track record of handling patent matters in relevant technical fields.
  • Excellent understanding of patent law and procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively.
  • A proactive and client-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
