They are seeking a Legal and Trade Mark Administrator to provide support to the fee earners on the prosecution/portfolio management side of the trade mark team.

They are seeking a Legal and Trade Mark Administrator to provide support to the fee earners on the prosecution/portfolio management side of the trade mark team.
Key Tasks will include (but not limited to):
- Legal and commercial research. To include Internet research into both client and third party activities; review of trade mark clearance searches; occasional off-site activities, including test purchases, investigations, site visits and delivery of documents.
- Preparing first drafts of emails, letters and witness statements.
- Reviewing trade mark watch notices and providing initial opinion on whether or not to take action.
- Reviewing official correspondence from the UK IPO and preparing draft report for clients.
- Preparing evidence to be used in support of trade mark cases.
- Conducting preliminary assessments of IP portfolios to assist in developing filing strategies and in support of potential litigation and for audits.
- Assisting in preparing bundles, correspondence and other documentation for use in contentious tribunal proceedings.
- Keeping files and records up to date, using electronic document management system.
- Maintaining awareness of current developments in IP and assisting in know-how meetings and writing articles.
The successful candidate will:
- Hold a Law degree/PGDL
- Have an interest in IP law
- Possess excellent communication, organisational, writing and research skills with an eye for detail and an ability to work with multiple partners for different clients, often under pressure
- Be comfortable working within a deadline (both client and statutory/official) driven environment, and confident in prioritising and handling multiple tasks simultaneously, often with conflicting deadlines Have the drive and ambition to thrive in this fast paced, quality focused, client centric and demanding work environment
- Have previous experience of working on trade mark (contentious or non-contentious) matters, preferably gained at a law/attorney firm, or other professional services experience - this is an advantage but is not essential
- Have experience of using PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
