Together we are seeking a Legal and Trade Mark Administrator to provide support to our solicitors on soft IP (i.e. trade mark, passing off, copyright, design, database) matters.
Key Tasks will include (but not limited to):

Together we are seeking a Legal and Trade Mark Administrator to provide support to our solicitors on soft IP (i.e. trade mark, passing off, copyright, design, database) matters.
Key Tasks will include (but not limited to):
- Legal and commercial research. To include Internet research into both client and third-party activities; occasional off-site activities, including test purchases, investigations, site visits and delivery of documents.
- Preparing first drafts of emails, letters, witness statements and other Court documents.
- Preparing evidence to be used in support of soft IP (i.e. trade mark, passing off, copyright, design, database) cases.
- Assisting new enquiries into the team.
- Liaising with authorities, e.g. Customs and Trading Standards, and assisting with the preparation of evidence in both civil and criminal matters.
- Conducting preliminary assessments of IP portfolios in support of potential litigation and for audits.
- Assisting in preparing bundles, correspondence and other documentation for use in Court proceedings and other contentious matters.
- Keeping files and records up to date, using electronic document management system.
- Maintaining awareness of current developments in IP and assisting in know-how meetings and writing articles.
- Assisting fee earners with preparing presentations to clients and others
- Taking notes of meetings
- Law degree/PGDL
- An interest in IP law and, in particular, contentious IP.
- Excellent organisational, writing and research skills with an eye for detail and an ability to work toward short deadlines for multiple partners
- The drive and ambition to thrive in this fast paced, quality focused and demanding work environment Previous experience of working on contentious IP matters, preferably gained at a City law firm, is an advantage but not essential
- Experience of using PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
