The Company and Role
  
We are partnered with a research-focused pharmaceutical and healthcare group, who are looking to appoint a Patent Attorney Manager with a technical background in Life Sciences, to join their team.
This person will deal with all the IP activities needed to secure the company’s IP rights and provide support to both internal Research & Development projects and those intended for in-licensing.
  
The Candidate
  
The successful candidate will have:
  • Master’s degree in life science (or equivalent)
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience within pharmaceutical industry (Intellectual Property Departments) or IP/Law Firms.
  • Fluent English and Italian
  • Knowledge of R&D lifecycle and processes
  • Good knowledge of pharma business and sector
  • Italian qualified patent attorney, at least partially qualified European patent attorney
  • Adaptability and Flexibility
  
Key Responsibilities:
  
Perform prior art investigations and draft patentability assessments
Provide infringement and validity advices
Draft and prosecution of patent applications worldwide
Monitor and assessment of third-party patents
Perform Due Diligences
Provide support to opposition and litigation proceedings
  
Location:

Please note that the position is open worldwide. The person will choose where to be placed but will be asked to come periodically (on weekly base) to Parma.
