Salary: £50k - £70k (flexible according to experience)
This is a great chance to join a high-performing firm of IP professionals. They have a large workload and continued winning of clients, plus increasing work from existing clients, has brought a need for an additional patent attorney. Because of the increasing work from current clients, there is the possibility of business development being an integral part of this role for those that would be interested.
You must have a technical background that can lend itself to the fields of physics or mechanical engineering.
You must be able to hit the ground running, so you may be either a part-qualified, newly-qualified or fully-qualified up to a few years of post-qualification experience. So long as you can prove to handle the workload and grow into the role.
Put simply, a diverse workload and a mandate to protect some of the world's most pioneering ideas will keep you on your toes. Plus, being able to mould the role as your own and be involved in the direction of the firm's future.
Some responsibilities you can expect to be involved in:
- You will be dealing with a range of clients from day-to-day. This can vary from hi-tech inventors and laboratory physicists to some of the largest brands and multinationals.
- Drafting and prosecuting successful patent applications.
- Working with cutting-edge research and development and building and nurturing partnerships along the way/.
- Working closely with a number of partners.
