Job description

We are delighted to be working with Haley Guiliano who are looking to appoint a new patent attorney into their London office.

While technical background is important, we are more interested in the dynamic nature and character of the individual (shrinking violets will not be suited to this environment). Qualification is not of vital importance, the emphasis lies more with attorneys who want to be their client's trusted advisor when it comes to matters of intellectual property - including strategies around patent filing, licensing, agreements, etc.

Haley Guiliano's London team compliments the New York and San Jose office – this is not a satellite of the firm only handling office actions, but is a fully integrated team that works in collaboration with the rest of the business and their clients, defining global strategies around the patents they hold.

The firm was spun out of Roles & Gray LLP and so are used to representing clients with complex matters, by leveraging technical, legal, commercial, and scientific expertise. This is a truly international boutique IP law firm who within Europe are quickly proving to be the IP legal service provider of choice due to their global reach.

The team consists of highly experienced qualified and part-qualified attorneys and IP Legal representatives, therefore a true full service is offered including technology scouting and M&A activity, trademark, designs, and copyright. You will work with both domestic and international businesses who are looking to maximise their IP and who expect the advice given to be ‘outside the box’.

Your technical background needs to be electrical engineering, and so a wide range of technology and issues, but with an emphasis on electrical motors.

This is an exciting time to join the firm who are proud of the fact they do not give an ‘off the shelf’ approach with their clients, because they understand the complex nature of navigating IP while providing advice that is in line with the needs of the clients business.
