Their targeted publications offer marketing solutions for technology providers through publishing and information platforms and editorial content in niche markets, where they have experienced already huge success.

In order to achieve business goals (to increase revenues and build a customer-oriented company) it is imperative you are able to increase the market share and ensure brand consistency through creative campaigns that generate high levels of qualified sales leads, web traffic and customer engagement.

You’ll be responsible for setting specific objectives to develop a cohesive and successful marketing strategy for the company in order to drive audience acquisition and engagement, boost advertising revenues and support the market intelligence/bespoke services subsidiary. In time, the plan is to set up a new marketing department around you.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Design and implement marketing strategies aligned with business growth targets
  • Develop digital campaigns to increase web traffic and site engagement
  • Analyse sales and marketing metrics and make recommendations
  • Identify trends and insights, and optimise spend and performance based on insights
  • Plan, execute, and measure experiments and conversion tests
  • Research market to identify new opportunities
  • Ensure brand, tone and messaging consistency through all marketing channels and teams
  • Negotiate and execute partnership agreements with industry event organisers
  • Recruit, develop, and manage the marketing team
  • Evaluate emerging technologies; provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate

In order to be successful in this role you will need:

  • No direct previous management experience is required, but we are looking for someone that has transferable skills and is looking to recruit and manage their own team in the near future
  • At least 3 years’ marketing experience with experience at a manager level in B2B publishing, B2B events, or in a B2B media role
  • Solid track record in audience acquisition and engagement strategies
  • Excellent understanding of direct marketing concepts, channels, and best practices
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
  • Demonstrable experience with successful marketing campaigns and digital technologies
  • In-depth knowledge and technical expertise of CRM software, marketing automation software and Content Management Systems
  • Experience with B2B social media, digital advertising, email campaigns and SEO/SEM
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics
  • Understanding of web design

Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing and measurement

  • An ability to manage marketing projects end-to-end

It would also be advantageous if you had:
