The 2015 Conference Awards were as hotly contested as ever with wins for i2i Events, Green Power Conferences and Clarion Events.
The industry met at the Hurlingham Club in Fulham to celebrate the best conferences and innovators of the year.
Money 20/20 won the Best Large Scale Event or Congress beating competition from Informa’s AfricaCom and the Energy Institute’s International Petroleum Week.
I2i Events acquired Money 20/20 in 2014 to further expand its international presence. The 2014 edition of the show took place in Las Vegas and attracted over 700 CEOs from over 60 countries. This isn’t the peak for the exhibition by any means as Money20/20 Europe is scheduled for 2016.
Despite winning the Best LSE Award, Money20/20 lost out to Green Power Conference’s Solar Power Generation congress in America as the renewables conference was awarded Best American Conference.
Both Clarion Events and the Top Right Group’s EMAP were nominated for number of awards and did not go away empty handed. Clarion saw a win for its Energy Exchange Division with the 1st National Forum on Gabon Oil and Gas in the Best Middle East and African Conference Award. The EMAP conference team was commended in the Best Conference Operations team award after missing out on the Best Awards Team and Best Awards Event prizes.
Launching an overseas event always poses a number of challenges so congratulations must go to The Economist Group and Elsevier for their wins in the Best UK Launch and Best Overseas Launch categories.
